The Greater Lady Lake Dog Park is a members-only dog park in Lady Lake, Florida. Run by a group of trustees who also organize the memberships, this dog park is a piece of ground which the organization leases from the town authorities. The land has been conditioned to be used as an area for exercising dogs off-leash. For users of the facility arriving by vehicle, there is a parking lot conveniently close to the entrance.
Applications for membership to this dog park in Lady Lake can be either sent to the Greater Lady Lake Dog Park Trust, which is at P.O. Box 1599, Lady Lake, FL 32158. Alternatively, the application can be made in person, accompanied by your pup, at the dog park's kiosk which is manned during the off-leash hours. All applications must be accompanied with certified proof of vaccinations for Bordetella, rabies, parvovirus, and distemper.
The membership fee is either $5 per week or $50 a year. Membership validity runs from the 1st of January through to December 31st and is not prorated. Renewals should be completed by the end of January. If a dog has a new series of shots after becoming a member, a copy of the updated certificates should be provided to the dog park office.
The identity tag issued at the dog park for each application must be worn by the relevant dog when visiting the facility. Each application covers a pet parent for up to two dogs which is the maximum permitted per person. This Lady Lake dog park is a grass field with plenty of trees and a gravel island at its center.
Fenced with waist-high chain-link, member pet parents can let their pups off-leash with no worries of them escaping. Everyone here is in the same club and of the same frame of mind. There's only one thing to do with puppy poop, and that is scoop it. Getting caught not following the scooping rules for a pet parent means losing their membership which results in no more off-leash time for said parent's pup.
