Green Street Dog Park
To be sure the littlest pups have a spot all their own, there is an enclosure designed specifically with their needs in mind. In accordance with park rules, dogs weighing less than 25 lbs must make use of the small dog play area.
This Spring Garden community treasure is a pawpular spot for both people and their pooches! Though the pawblic is welcome at this pawsitively awesome doggy play space, a membership is required to access the grounds. Membership fees cost $50 per year and allow for a maximum of two dogs per family to enjoy the play areas. For those residing out of town, the cost of a membership is $100. To obtain membership at Green Street Dog Park, you must submit an application, along with proof of the following: spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, and a city dog license tag. Once your membership has been approved, you will receive an electronic key fob which permits access to this pawrific park. Your dog will also be issued a member tag which must be displayed on their collar at all times.
Other rules regarding park use include no more than a combined total of 30 dogs in the play areas at one time, and a reminder to limit play time to 30 minutes during times of peak traffic. Alcohol, cigarettes, and glass containers are strictly forbidden, as are prong, pinch, and choke collars. To use the doggy playground areas, your pooch must be trained to obey basic commands such as come and sit.
