Happy Hound Retreat Dog Park

Happy Hound Retreat Dog Park is one of two "Bark Parks" located in North Platte, Nebraska. This dog playground is situated on 5.2 acres of land and offers several fenced play areas well-suited to off-leash running, roughhousing, and play. With one area designated for use by small, shy, or elderly dogs, these enclosures welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes. 

To ensure the safety of all dogs enjoying the runs, owners are encouraged to keep a lead handy in case it is needed. Happy Hound Retreat Dog Park is proud to offer entrance to their facility at no cost to the public. Unfortunately, it is not known if bathrooms are housed on the property, but visitors to this public space do note that there is no water source provided. 

To ensure your dog has access to water, it is wise for owners to carry bottled water and a water dish with them. Poop bags may or may not be on hand in the enclosed play spaces. For this reason, owners should bring some with them to allow them to properly pick up and dispose of their dog's waste. Situated throughout the runs for the convenience and comfort of all owners are umbrellas for shade as well as comfortable seating. 

Not to leave Fido overlooked, his play areas are also filled with plentiful toys to help keep him amused during his playtime at the park. Improvements are planned for this space as funds permit. Though there is no charge to use Happy Hound Retreat Dog Park, donations are gratefully accepted and are reserved for park maintenance and overall upgrades.
