Hasselroth Dog Park

Hasselroth Dog Park, centrally located within the Hasselroth Park property, finds its home in Rock Island, Illinois. This park bears the distinction of being Rock Island's first off-leash dog park. Recently, the park was renamed and dedicated to the memory of Eleanor Wallace. Ms. Wallace was a member of the parks and recreation department and possessed a strong passion for developing a park where dogs could enjoy regular exercise and off-leash play.

The Eleanor Wallace Dog Park owes its founding and continuance to this lady's vision and commitment to see the park come to fruition. Housed on the property is a fully fenced play area. It is unknown if a second play section dedicated for use by small, senior, or shy dogs exists on the grounds. To ensure the safety of all dogs enjoying the dog playground, owners must play an active role in supervising their dogs at play. 

Owners are also to be in possession of a lead at all times. Eleanor Wallace Dog Park is a public dog play haven. Park officials proudly extend an invitation to all pooches and their people to freely enjoy their grounds. The on-premise run features many great amenities including benches, water access, and on-site bathrooms. It is unknown if poop bags are available on the grounds. 

However, it is important for owners to note that all pet waste removal is their responsibility. The family-centric Hasselroth Park itself also offers many recreational opportunities for families to enjoy. There's a playground as well as a field suitable for football or soccer housed on the property. If you are trying to find a quiet place to enjoy a family picnic, Hasselroth Park has picnic areas and grass spaces suitable for this purpose. 

There are also on-site charcoal barbecues for public use where Mom and Dad can grill up a family feast! Eleanor Wallace Dog Park observes very few regulations; however, in compliance with local legislation, they do require all dogs making use of their playground to be current on vaccinations.
