The vision and pet project of a group of passionate community volunteers known as Ground Reconsidered, this pawsome pawblic recreational area is the first new park in the region in over 20 years. You and your pooch will have a ball taking in the woofderful sights at this beautiful green area housed within a charming residential community. Doggoes are warmly welcomed to join their families for some relaxation and fun at Hawthorne Park. Just be sure to comply with the wishes of the Philadelphia pawlice by bringing and keeping your pupperoni on lead at all times. 

Hawthorne Park is a rather small pawblic facility, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm. The lawn portion of this play center consists of 19,000 square feet of property, providing ample room for a game of tug or fetch or even a picnic lunch on the grounds. If people watching is more your thing, you will find this grass area is the pawrfect location to watch the people of this wooftastic Philly neighborhood on the go! 

You will find many paved walkways at this pawsitively awesome park. Here, you can take your best canine pal for a stroll and enjoy the views of the rowhomes and gardens that line the area. Orange lounge chairs strewn throughout the grass provide the pawrfect spot for a little R&R with your fave furry furiend along for company. You'll want to be certain to pack all of the things you will need for your day of park fun. Don't forget to bring along some drinking water, a Scooby snack or two, and some cleanup bags.
