Homer's Run Dog Park (at Inwood Hill Park)

Are you and Spot looking for something entertaining to do? Then get out to Homer’s Run Dog Park located in Upper Manhattan. New York City can be confusing so make sure you find the easiest entrance to the dog park at Seaman’s Avenue. Also, note that this park is part of Inwood Hill Park and has stunning baseball fields.

Spot will happily roam the doggy park without a leash, and might even hop the large log on-site. And thanks to the park fountains, you both have access to water during those humid summer days. Since you don’t have nearly as much energy as Spot, the benches and picnic table will probably be your place. You both will be able to escape from the sun because this park does have some shade. 

Signs on the premises remind owners to clean up after their dogs, so the park looks great when it's dry. Be aware that the area does get very muddy after the rain, so pay attention to the weather before you go. Join the many regulars that frequent this dog park and are known to host friendly get-togethers. You might enjoy meeting this community of dog lovers.

Unfortunately, there’s no small dog space at this park so Spot will have to be smart around the larger canines. There are also park rules you should abide: No females in heat are allowed, so Spot’s playmate next door will have to stay home. Keep your non-aggressive dogs away; Spot’s in the clear again. It's also good that Spot is vaccinated and has a license because those are required too. And, children under 13 enter at their own risk with a parent.
