Homer's Run Dog Park (at Ulysses Ballfield)

Homer's Run Dog Park lies adjacent to Ulysses Sports Complex which is located in Golden, Colorado. This dedicated dog facility is comprised of slightly less than 1 acre of fully fenced property where dogs can enjoy off-leash play. Visitors to this park note that the fencing is quite low and is best suited for small dog use only. Though the enclosure is a designated off-leash zone, owners are required to keep their dogs on a lead when traveling to and from the play spaces. It is also mandatory that owners carry leashes with them at all times in case of an emergency.

This beloved doggy play haven runs the length of the fence to one of the five ball diamonds housed in the Ulysses Sports Complex. The complex itself has much to offer families looking to spend a day pursuing outdoor activities. Ulysses Sports Complex is home to five ball diamonds, a walking track, soccer fields, a playground, and kite flying. It also has a skateboard park on its grounds. 

Access to this public dog park is free of charge. Water is provided on the premises to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his play time. There are also on-site benches and picnic tables in shaded areas to afford owners the opportunity to relax while observing their dogs at play. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Though no official rules are posted governing park use, it is recommended that all dogs be current on vaccinations. In addition to this, it is advisable for all dogs to bear the appropriate required state license tag on their collars. It is unknown if complimentary poop bags are available on-site.
