Hopkins Creek Dog Park
To ensure that small, senior, and shy dogs have the opportunity to play with dogs better-suited to their unique needs, one of the enclosures has been designed exclusively for their use. However, small dogs are permitted in the large dog run at the discretion of their owners.
Since off-leash play time must be carefully supervised to prevent potential conflicts, owners are expected to provide active supervision and to keep a leash with them at all times in case it is needed. In accordance with Florida state law, dogs must be on a lead when entering and exiting the dog runs as well as in all other areas.
Atlantic Beach Dog Park is a private dog playground, and a membership must be obtained to gain access to the grounds. Yearly memberships are available at the cost of $50 for the first dog and $25 each subsequent. A day pass can be purchased for $10, but these are only available to visitors and not area residents.
Tax will be applied to all membership fees. At the time of registration, park officials require the following: a record of shots signed by a veterinarian, a completed application, and a signed copy of the rules. Proof of spay or neuter must also be provided.
The following vaccinations are required by the Atlantic Beach Dog Park management team: rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and bordetella. All dogs making use of the park must also bear current identification tags and be licensed with their city.
The dog runs are complete with all of the things needed for a day of fun at the park including water and poop bags.
