At the Humane Society Bark Park in Pagosa Springs, outdoor voices are allowed! This park provides a safe environment to puppers to get some much needed exercise and socialization. With views of the rugged, San Juan Mountain Range, your pup will be able to run and play in glorious off-leash freedom. The Bark Park is inclusive of pups of all shapes and sizes. There are two separate fenced off areas, one for large breeds and another for the little guys. You can kick back and enjoy the views while Fido has the time of his life.
On a hot summer day at the Bark Park, no need to fear! There are kiddie pools set up so your doggo can run, rinse and repeat. There are also shaded areas and a doggy drinking fountain for your parched pup. It’s still important to make sure your dog isn’t overheating or getting sunburnt. Both fenced off areas are quite large, so your dog can run to his or her delight, while enjoying some pawsitive socialization. Don’t forget your dog’s favorite ball or frisbee!
Near the fenced areas, you can also find the Serenity Garden. This dedicated area features engraved memorial bricks in the garden and along the walking path. Here you can enjoy some peace and quiet contemplation next to your canine companion among the trees and flowers. There are benches here where you can relax and Fido can rest his paws.
Other amenities at the Humane Society Bark Park include doggy waste stations, and restrooms inside the humane society lobby. Please be sure that your pup stays leashed when they’re not inside the fenced areas, and stoop and scoop whenever necessary. In this Bark Park, you’re sure to find everything you need for your energetic pup to burn some energy and have a blast while doing it!
