Jordan Dog Park

Jordan Dog Park is a beautiful off-leash area located in Salt Lake City. This off-leash area is a fenced section of the park and allows for you to run and play with your canine. Inside the fence, there is a walking path that allows you to walk or run while your canine plays. It is important to keep your canine in sight and under voice control at all times. There are also some balls provided by the community for dogs to play with.

The greater area of the park hosts a huge amount of amenities making it a great place to come with the whole family. Picnic tables and pavilions are placed throughout the park. Plenty of trees for shade and seating placed around. There is a playground for young children and there is also a skate park available.

Outside the designated canine area, your canine is allowed. This means you can take your canine through the large walking paths or around the sports fields and playground provided they stay on leash at all times. For the sake of the grounds, your canine is not allowed on any of the sports fields or inside any of the facilities at any time.

You are required to have proof of vaccination tags on your canine and aggressive dogs are forbidden. The rules listed on their website are enforced by the city and you can contact the parks and rec department to settle and disputes.

The area inside is fairly large allowing you to play some longer range games like fetch or frisbee. The grass stays green so your canine will leave likely very clean unless it has just followed some rain. The park spans many acres and is arguably one of the most beautiful parks in the city. It certainly offers far more amenities than other parks in the city and makes for a great place to spend the afternoon with family.
