Memory Grove Off Leash Area (at Freedom Trail)

Located at the mouth of City Creek Canyon in Utah, the Memory Grove Off-Leash Area at Freedom Trail is right next to the creek. Your four-legged friend will love jumping on the rocks in the water and running through the leaves, but swimming is not allowed. 

Because the park is next to a body of water, you can expect a wet and muddy, but happy dog when you go home, so do bring a towel. Spike can easily get carried away wading and cooling down in the shallow stream. Any human-made structure does not enclose the area, but it is secluded by the natural contours of the stream bed and the canyon.

The park offers a beautiful hike for pet parents and other visitors, complete with scenic and relaxing views. There are restrooms, so you need not worry about having to use the toilet when you are in the middle of exploring this beautiful park. 

Parking is limited especially at the Memory Grove Off-Leash Area at Freedom Trail on busy days when it tends to get crowded so you might want to go a little early if planning to venture there on the weekend. Walk to the park with your pooch if you live nearby and get that much-needed exercise.

There are dog poop bags in the park, so you need not bring any. There are plenty of waste receptacles so do your part and use them to keep the place clean. Other park goers are pleasant so you will undoubtedly have a good time exploring. However, there have been a few complaints of irresponsible pet parents who do not pick up after their dogs. 

If you happen to like taking pictures of your pooch, wait for sundown as it is the best time to take photos, when the sunset casts a lovely glow. Take a trip to the Memory Grove Off-Leash Area at Freedom Trail today and enjoy a bit of nature with your four-legged friend.
