Lake Carolina Dog Park

The Lake Carolina Dog Park is located in Columbia, South Carolina. A private dog facility, this beloved neighborhood dog playground offers a fully fenced space where dogs can enjoy a round of exercise, proper socialization, and off-leash play. 

Though many parks do offer sections designed for use by small, shy, or senior dogs, it is unknown if there is such an enclosure at Lake Carolina Dog Park. Off-leash play is welcomed at this dedicated dog facility; however, to observe the best safety precautions, it is wise for all owners to carry a lead with them. 

Dogs should be leashed when traveling to and from the enclosed space as well as in all other areas. Lake Carolina Dog Park is only open to residents of the Columbia region. A yearly permit can be purchased for $25. It is unknown what amenities are available on the grounds. 

To ensure access to everything needed for a day of fun at the dog park, owners should come prepared with the following items: bottled water, a dog dish, a lawn chair, sun protection, and poop bags. To ensure the cleanliness of the park space, all owners must assume the responsibility for cleaning up after their pets. Bathrooms are not housed on the grounds of this private facility. 

Lake Carolina Dog Park has not instituted any rules for dogs making use of their dog playground. It is a safe assumption that dogs should be fully vaccinated. Since most states do require city dog licensing, it is also a good idea to ensure your dog's city dog license is up to date.
