Lake Ida Dog Park

Lake Ida Dog Park is a popular public dog park located in the Lake Ida, West Park in Delray Beach, Florida. In addition to the dog area, the 189-acre district park is home to multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, and water activities such as fishing, kayaking, and canoeing.

The spacious Lake Ida Dog Park has a well-thought-out layout, consisting of two large dog sections that are open on rotation basis for maintenance that takes place every Thursday from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, and a small dog section. The park is securely fenced and has a double-gated entry system. It is conveniently located next to the parking lot for easy access and walking distance to the restroom facilities. 

In addition to the above, it is equipped with free dog bag dispensers and plenty of covered trash cans. This helps keep this canine park clean and odorless, so make sure to do your part and clean up after your four-legged friend as well. There are water fountains for both dogs and their owners and several shaded benches that help the patrons of this park remain cool and hydrated, especially during the summer. To top it off, there is a paved dog washing station that is highly appreciated by the canines and the pet parents.

The Lake Ida West Park has a variety of walking paths running through it, so if your pooch is overly excited about the dog park you can take him for a stroll on-leash before entering the off-leash area. It is also a great alternative for the weekends when the park is more crowded than usual, which can be overwhelming. The scenic walk by the lake is relaxing and since there is a tree to stop at for a sniff every 10, feet your canine companion won’t complain either.
