Lake Murphysboro State Park

Lake Murphysboro State Park is situated just one mile from Murphysboro in the state of Illinois. This 1,022-acre facility is the ideal spot for a number of recreational activities as well as camping. Though there isn't an area reserved specifically for dog play, dogs are welcome to join their owners on the grounds. It is the responsibility of all owners to clean up after their pets and to properly dispose of all canine waste. Lake Murphysboro State Park is a public recreational center and campground. Entrance to the property is permitted at no cost. Campsites and primitive camping sections are available on the grounds, but it is unknown if a reservation is required or if there is a fee to use them.
