Lake Woof Dog Park is a public dog park located in the John Prince Park in Lake Worth, Florida. It was opened in July 2017 and has since become incredibly popular in the community due to its location, size, and amenities.
The four-acre dog park features everything you would want in an off-leash dog park and more. It consists of five enclosed areas for dogs of various sizes to freely run around and play in, with separate areas for small dogs, medium breeds, and large hounds. There are also two dog areas that are used on rotation basis for maintenance that takes place every Thursday between 12:00 to 3:00 PM. This helps maintain the condition of the park's surface and cleanliness. Each fenced-in area includes plenty of seating, including gazebos which provide the much-appreciated shade during the summer weather.
There are also drinking fountains for dogs and humans in each area, dog waste bag dispensers, and conveniently located trash cans that encourage and enable easy cleanup. In addition to the above, each area has its own dog washing station which is great for post-playtime baths and cooling, just make sure to bring a towel for your furry friend’s paws. This well-maintained dog park is the perfect place for canine socialization and a daily dose of leash-free exercise. The regular patrons of the park are said to be very welcoming and helpful with well-behaved dogs.
The Lake Woof Dog Park is located right by the parking lot and close to the public restrooms and picnic area. It is a great place to spend a day with your canine buddy, especially since it is considered to be one of the best dog parks in Palm Beach County. In case the dog park isn’t enough, take your pooch on an on-leash walk along the nearby Lake Osborne which is surrounded by paved trails and scenic views.
