Lakeshore Dog Park - Dalton

Lakeshore Park has a ton of activities and attractions for everyone. Several sports fields of different types, playgrounds, and a lake. The lake hosts swimming and fishing. The total amount of space at this park comes out to about 45 acres with picnic tables and pavilions scattered throughout. Near one of these pavilions, you will find the Lakeshore Dog Park marked by a brown wooden sign. 

The Lakeshore Dog Park in Dalton is entirely fenced in and can contain even the most energetic runners. There is a pretty large amount of open space at this dog park, and games like fetch are possible here. Several large trees dot the park, and the large canopies of leaves create a lot of shade for the grass below. 

Benches are scattered throughout the park and often placed directly under trees to absorb the most shade. This, in combination with the running water at the dog park, ensures you and your canine will stay cool and well hydrated during your visit. This is a co-mingled dog area, small dogs and large ones all go inside the same fenced area. 

There are also ducks and geese who frequent the nearby lake and often come near this area and can be violent. These are risk factors for toy and tiny canines, evaluate the area before entering. Public restrooms can be found at the nearby playground or near the baseball diamonds across the parking area. The running water is in the form of fountains inside the fenced dog section, and you do not need to bring your bowl. 

The Lakeshore Dog Park is very aesthetically pleasing. In fact, it is quite beautiful. That alone makes it quite the attraction for people who want to get out and enjoy some time with their canine. Add that to the fact that this is the only dog park in the area makes it quite a compelling choice. This dog park has no membership requirements or annual fees.
