Lantana Dog Park (at Maddock Park)

Lantana Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Maddock Park, which is a park in a quiet residential area in Lantana, Florida. In addition to the dog park, the Maddock Park features a playground, a basketball court, a skate park, and open grassy fields that are perfect for picnics with the family. The dog park can be found next to the skate park.

The Lantana Dog Park was opened in 2013. It is a very popular dog park in the neighborhood for canine socialization, exercise and playtime due to its size and accessible location. This dog park offers five acres of securely fenced land for dogs to run on and explore with their canine friends. 

It has a simple yet well-thought-out layout made up of two spacious areas. A large dog area for hounds above 30 pounds and a small dog run for those under that weight category. Unlike many other dog parks that primarily focus on a large dog run and have only a tiny small dog section, Lantana Dog Park’s small dog run provides enough space for the small furballs to stretch their legs and get their daily dose off leash-free exercise. 

Since the areas are separated, owners won’t have to worry about their pooches getting accidentally trampled. The dog park is equipped with a canine hydration station and several benches for dog owners to relax on as they supervise their pooches play. Some of the benches are shaded, while others are strategically placed along the fence. 

This enables owners to have a better view of their dogs’ behavior and provides more space for dogs to play on. Plus, there is a parking lot next to the dog park making it easily accessible and convenient for short visits. The regulars are said to be very friendly with well-mannered dogs which is another reason to stop by and check out this well-maintained dog park.
