Description
The Laurel Bark Park in Gainsville makes quite a first impression. There is a lot of space. This park you can bring the most energetic canines and wear them out. The park is a combination of dirt and grass. For the most of the spring and summer, it stays covered in a pretty good coat of grass meaning you and your canine leave clean. Later in the year, it can get entirely run down and mostly dirt covered so your canine could get quite dirty, especially after a hard rain.

Several of the amenities you might find at a local dog park is here. Doggie bags are available, and garbage cans can be located by the entrance to make it easy to clean up after your canine. This park has running water so your canine can stay hydrated. It is at dog height, so it is not necessary to bring your bowl.

The Laurel Bark Park in Gainsville can be very susceptible to the sun. There are trees off to one end of the park, and these trees are quite tall and could protect against the sun, but only a particular time of day and only on that side of the park. There are no pavilions or other structures that could provide shade or shelter from the elements.

This dog park sits inside Laurel Park. Laurel Park is home to many different activities. This park has volleyball courts, fishing, and playgrounds for the kids. It hosts various events at the amphitheater and even has a splash park. There is some bench seating along the fence line beside the entrance, but it is fairly limited. There are also separate sections for large canines and small canines.

The Laurel Bark Park in Gainsville makes for an incredible place to bring the family and kill a few hours. Pavilions with picnic tables and grills are scattered throughout the park, and as long as your canine stays on a leash, they are welcome throughout the entire park, except for inside a few of the facilities.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
