The dog park is set in a quiet section of the park, so you'll feel like it's a getaway from the hustle and bustle of your hectic day. The park is mostly grass, but does have dirt and the water fountains are on cement to reduce muddiness in the park. Some benches are also elevated on cement. The dog park is 2.6 acres, so be sure to keep an eye on Fido and clean up after him with the bags you bring with you.Â
For the human comforts, there are benches, but the bathrooms are a bit far from the dog park. You can walk down trails and pass ponds, pools, baseball fields, playgrounds, and grilling areas. When exploring the rest of the 178-acre park with Fido, make sure he is leashed. If he smells something tasty like a burger at the grills or picnic area, he might try to join them for lunch, leaving you behind.
Make sure your dog wears his license tag and is trained to come when you call. Aggressive dogs are not permitted in the park and any children in the dog park must be supervised. If your dog digs, please fill in the holes. Do not bring any food, human or dog, into the park, and do not smoke in the park.Â
