When dogs living near San Jose’s Lincoln High School want to let loose, they head over to the Lincoln High School Community Field. Local pups are lucky to be able to use this pawsome field. Although it is technically located on the high school grounds, a special agreement allows four legged visitors to enjoy the wide open space.
The one acre park can be accessed through a gate to the left of the football field. Make sure the gate is closed before you let your pal off leash. Once they are securely in the park, unclip their lead and let them run wild! Bring a ball for a game of fetch or just let your doggo sniff around on their own. This is a pupular canine hang out spot, so your pup will have a blast meeting new four legged friends.
Since this area is on the high school campus, there are a
few things to be aware of. The field is only available outside of school hours.
You and your fur baby can visit before 6:30 a.m. and after 5:30 p.m. Also note that
the field may be closed during after hour school activities. Canine visitors
are not allowed on the football or baseball fields and they need to be on leash
when entering and exiting the gated area.
Since clean up bags and drinking water are not provided, be
sure to bring both from home. After all their running around, your pal will definitely
need a cold drink of water. Do your part to keep the field tidy so local pups
can enjoy this furrific space for years to come. Overall, the Lincoln High
School Community Field is a fabulous place to visit on any day of the week. Your
dog will definitely give it four enthusiastic paws up!
