The Miyuki Dog Park is located in the city of San Jose, California. There is ample vehicle parking by the entrance to the dog park. Parking is prohibited during the hours from midnight until 6 am. The park is a large piece of ground which has been designated as an off-leash area for exercising dogs. It is fully enclosed with above head height welded wire fencing. There is no separate section for small dogs. There is a secure, double gated staging area for leashing and unleashing dogs.Â
It is surfaced with a combination of materials. One part is covered with astroturf, another is concrete, and another area has been finished with gravelly sand. There are several large trees inside the off-leash boundaries which do provide some shade from the sun. Benches have been placed under the trees for owners to sit on.
All pet owners wishing to use the Miyuki Dog Park must ensure that their dog is fully vaccinated and has the correct license from the local authorities. It is not permitted to exercise more than two dogs in the off-leash area at any one time. All dogs must be kept leashed until fully inside the staging area. Any dog displaying unsocial behavior toward other dogs or people must be removed from the dog park immediately. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
There is a water fountain installed at the dog park for your convenience. There is also a poop bag dispenser on-site. Pet owners are advised to carry extra poop bags on their person in case of stock depletion. The Miyuki Dog Park is very clean and well maintained. Pet owners using the facility are required to remove all fecal matter produced by their dogs and dispose of it in the containers provided. Respecting this regulation helps keep the dog park in good condition for other users.
