Situated on the property for all dogs to enjoy are two fully fenced play spaces where off-leash play is welcomed and encouraged. To ensure a space where a gentler play style is the norm, one of the enclosures has been reserved for use by dogs who are small, timid, or elderly.
Though off-leash play forms a large part of the vision of the Salina Dog Club who were responsible for building the facility, club members also place a strong emphasis on safety. With an eye to the well-being of all dogs enjoying the dog playgrounds at Loyal Duke's Dog Park, park officials request that all owners be in possession of a lead at all times.
Fido is welcome to enjoy the designated dog zones off-lead. However, it is important to note that he must remain on a leash when on the area's hiking trail or in other areas of the park. Loyal Duke's Dog Park is a public dog play haven, and park officials are pleased to permit full access to their play spaces at no cost. Found within the runs are a plentiful supply of drinking water, some tunnels, and poop bags.
It is your job to properly dispose of all canine waste materials. There are no bathrooms housed on the grounds of Loyal Duke's Dog Park. This beloved dog playground earns accolades from visitors for its stunning views of the nearby Arkansas River. It is also described as picturesque, clean, and well-maintained.
Benches are installed throughout the grounds in areas which offer shade. Here, owners can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views while their dogs socialize and play. It is important for owners to note that the entrance to Loyal Duke's Dog Park is closed between 8 PM and 7 AM.
There are no officially posted expectations placed upon visitors to this lovely play space. However, it is a good idea for dogs to be current on immunizations and licensed with their respective city. For a day of fun at a great Colorado park, bring Fido for a play date at Loyal Duke's Dog Park!
