Manchester Dog Park (at Dana Thompson Park)

Manchester Dog Park is located within Dana L. Thompson Park in Manchester Center, Vermont. Situated on Dana L. Thompson Park's 88-acre property, Manchester Dog Park proudly offers a fully fenced play area for dogs to enjoy. The dog run was designed with off-leash exercise and play in mind. Currently, there is not a specified area for use by dogs who are small, elderly, or timid. 

However, dogs of all sizes and ages are welcome to join in the play time in the one on-premise dog playground. Manchester Dog Park observes the utmost in safety precautions to ensure the well-being of all dogs enjoying their facility. With this in mind, owners are required to stay near to the dog play area and to provide active supervision during all play time. 

It is also required for owners to keep a leash with them when on the grounds. Dogs must remain leashed when entering and exiting the dog run as well as in all public areas. Manchester Dog Park, a public dog play haven, permits all people and their pooches to access their grounds free of charge. This dedicated dog facility takes a simple approach to dog play spaces and provides no on-site amenities. 

With this in mind, owners must take care to bring with them all the things they may need for a day at the park. This includes bottled water, dog dishes, lawn chairs, and poop bags. Owners are legally obligated to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of their waste materials. Dana L. Thompson Park, a family-friendly recreational center, was named for a fallen police chief and a local hero who was killed in the line of duty. 

This popular destination hotspot offers many outdoor activities for families to enjoy including the newly built Park House, a six-lane pool equipped with a diving board, a kid's pool, baseball diamonds, multi-purpose athletic fields, playgrounds, a one mile walking path, a skate park, basketball courts, tennis courts, and bathrooms. There is limited Wifi access near to the Park House area. 

The Manchester Dog Park and Dana L. Thompson Park are both strictly non-smoking facilities. Though no official rules are posted regarding the use of Manchester Dog Park, current vaccinations and a city dog license are two items that are generally required by most states.
