The grounds here are dirt and grass, theĀ dirtĀ in the areas that receiveĀ the most traffic. TheĀ dirtĀ can turn to mud after heavy rain, and your canine will likely leave very dirty as there is not much grass to protect against the mud.
This park stays well maintained and clean. There are poop bags and garbage cans located at the entrance to either side of the dog park. Seating is available in abundance at this park in the form of benches that you can find along the fenceline.
There is a playground just outside of the fenced area of this dog park. You canine is not allowed on the playground, and anytime they are outside of the fenced area they are required to remain on a leash. However, if you bring your canine out here, your children will find a way to exercise and entertain themselves at the playground next door. There are also restrooms at this playground.
This dog park is not waterfront, but itĀ is locatedĀ just a short distance from the shoreline. Your canine is required on a leash outside of the dog park, but you can walk just a couple of blocks away and arrive at the shore. Then you can follow the trails down the shoreline for a nice walk with a scenic view. Overall this makes for a great dog park and the town of Norfolk being an incredibly dog-friendly town.
