Description

The Marlin A. Pound Dog Park at North Livermore Park is a fenced-in area designated to allowing dogs to run off-leash. This lovely dog park provides separate areas for small and large dogs. Elderly or timid dogs are welcome in the small dog area for their safety. Large or overly excitable dogs should be kept in the large dog area.

Pet parents that want to bring their dog to this park must have their dogs licensed and vaccinated. These are mandatory park rules set in place to minimize the risk of canine illnesses and diseases spreading. There is a mixture of green grass and dirt at this park. Dogs that enjoy running around and playing with other dogs will benefit highly due to the social interaction.

There is enough space to play a good game of fetch with your dog. Bring along a ball or toy to play with since the park doesn’t provide toys. You also need to bring along water for your dog. A water bottle and a portable dog bowl are recommended to help keep your dog hydrated, especially on hot weather days.

One of the first things you will notice when you approach the Marlin A. Pound Dog Park at North Livermore Park is the cleanliness. The dog park rules state that all pet parents are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, as you always should be. Pet owners need to supply their own doggie bags, but the park provides the trash cans.

Pet parents are required to remove their dog from the park if aggression is shown to others. You need to take responsibility for any bites, aggression, or damage to property done at the park. Resolving the issue with the victim is an excellent way to take responsibility. Be alert and attentive with your pet at all times to prevent accidents.

Keep your dog on a leash until you enter the designated dog park area. Pet parents are not allowed to walk their dogs off-leash anywhere else in the North Livermore Park area. Overall, the Marlin A. Pound Dog Park is a great place to visit every day and provides your dog with a safe environment to run around, play, and socialize with other dogs.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
