May Nissen Dog Park

Located in the fabulous city of Livermore, you will find the May Nissen Dog Park. The May Nissen Dog Park is a part of the May Nissen Community Park, and it is a beautiful park to take your pet companion on any day for some afternoon fun in the sun. 

The May Nissen Park was once a chicken ranch, but the city decided to purchase the land and renovate it as a place for the Livermore community. This park was initially called Northside Park before this renovation took place. At the community park, you will find a dog park, picnic areas, barbeque pits, restrooms, horseshoe pits, softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, a preschool, and a tot lot. 

The park is quite large at around 12 acres, giving all visitors a broad area for exploration. At the dog park of this community area, you will find many amenities. You will find a large area for play, picnic tables, shade, benches, and a fenced-in area for your dog's freedom to roam wild. It is recommended to bring water for your dog for after playtime. 

When you come to the May Nissen Community Park, you must follow all rules and regulations that are implemented by the city of Livermore. All dogs must first be tagged, vaccinated, and licensed before they can come to the park, and younger puppies and female dogs in heat must remain at home. 

All pet owners must keep an eye on their dogs during playtime, and they must also clean up after their pups. Dogs must also remain on-leash before entering and leaving the dog park area that is fenced in, and dogs need to be on a leash if they are exploring other areas of the park. Wild behavior is also not allowed in this park. Overall, the Livermore community loves this park and you probably will, too.
