Marshall is a city in the southwestern area of Minnesota, located in Lyons County. This city is home to Exelon’s Wind Project, Schwan Food Company, Southwest Minnesota State University and for our doggie lover’s Marshall Dog Park. In the August of 2012, Marshall Dog Park opened its gates. Later, in 2014 the park was renamed Loyalty Dog Park.
Loyalty Dog Park is owned by the city of Marshall and has been properly maintained by the city government. This grassy park has a double gate entrance making it easier to bring your dog in and then take him or her off their leash. This lovely dog park has an area designated for large dogs and an area that is designed for smaller dogs.Â
The park has some nice amenities including shaded spaces, fire hydrants, doggie watering stations, benches, chairs, and tables. The whole park is fully fenced in making it a safe park for your dog to run and explore in. Marshall has several rules while visiting this park such as there should only be two dogs per handler, no digging allowed and outside food is not allowed on the premises.Â
The park does not admit dogs who are in heat or puppies who are under the age of four months. Dogs should have the proper vaccinations and licenses if they wish to visit Loyalty Park. Also, it’s important to clean up after your pet before you leave. Don’t forget, dogs are only allowed off-leash within the fenced-in area. Be sure to leash dog as you leave the park.
Loyalty Dog Park, once known as Marshall Dog Park, is a great dog run where your pup can play, run, fetch and have a grand old doggie time. It is also a great park to socialize and do some off-leash training with your four-legged friend. Every dog needs a good park to visit and the city of Marshall made sure their local dogs have the best place to go.
