Maxey Park Bark and Run Dog Park

Maxey Park Bark and Run Dog Park is located in Houston, Texas. This dedicated dog facility has earned the distinction of being only the second dog park to grace the forward-thinking city of Houston. Ideally equipped for off-leash play, this doggy play haven boasts of two fully fenced dog runs housed on 13 acres of land. One of the two enclosures is reserved specifically for use by small dogs. 

Though the dog play spaces are designated off-leash zones, it is required that all dogs remain on a lead when traveling to and from the enclosures. In addition to this, owners are asked to carry a leash with them at all times in case of an emergency. 

Entrance to Maxey Park Bark and Run Dog Park is free of charge. Bathrooms are not available for public use at this facility. However, on-site amenities include fountains with a plentiful supply of fresh water to keep Fido and his owners well-hydrated. Also on the premises are dog showers where Fido can cool off or get cleaned up after a rousing time of fun in the dog runs. 

Situated throughout the park are benches in well-shaded areas. This comfortable seating provides an ideal vantage point from which owners can relax and observe their dogs at play. It is important to note that neither smoking nor food of any sort is permitted in the dog runs. 

Though no complimentary poop bags are provided on-site, owners are mandated to carry bags with them and to provide visible proof of their preparedness to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste materials. In accordance with state law, owners are required to clean up after their dogs. 

Park officials require that all dogs making use of the park space be current on vaccinations and city licensing. Proof of said vaccinations and license must be visible via up to date dog tags displayed on your dog's collar. Could Fido use a day of fun with his canine pals?
