McCarthy Beach State Park

At McCarthy Beach State Park, you can camp, swim, hike, horseback ride, picnic, snowshoe, and go snowmobiling. You will even find restrooms, campsites, hydration stations, hiking trails, and the park's main visitor office. Dogs can also come to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. Dogs are not allowed on beaches.

During your time in McCarthy Beach State Park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the Minnesota State Parks and Recreation System. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. 

Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as McCarthy Beach State Park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. 

If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the park's main website or in the park's main office. McCarthy Beach State Park is quaint, beautiful, and the perfect place for anyone that is looking for a lovely weekend.
