McDonald Dog Park - Tucson

The McDonald Dog Park is a public dog park located at the McDonald Park in Tucson, Arizona. In addition to the dog park, the 38-acre McDonald Park is home to two softball fields, four baseball fields, a basketball court, a horseshoe pit, playgrounds, and picnic areas. 

The park also features various nature trails and public restrooms that can be found by the main parking lot between the baseball field and playgrounds, just a few minutes by walk from the dog park. The McDonald Dog Park is fully secured by a tall fence and has a simple yet well-thought-out, open space layout. It is divided into two, separate off-leash areas that provide tons of room for canines to roam around in and explore. 

The large dog section is located on the east side of the park while the small dog run can be found on the left, just above the baseball fields. The off-leash areas are filled with tall, mature trees that provide plenty of shade for dogs to cool off in. The park’s surface is made up of lush grass, and some soil so please watch your step and make sure to fill up any holes your dog digs up during your visit. 

The dog park is equipped with drinking fountains and picnic tables which enable owners to remain comfortable as they watch their four-legged friends play and stay hydrated. The park also features a kiddie pool by the water hose that owners can fill up for their dogs to splash in. Pack a towel and let your pooch take a dip with his canine buddies!

In addition to the above, the McDonald Park features scenic walking trails that owners are welcome to take their furballs on. The park’s regular four-legged patrons are said to be well-behaved while their owners very welcoming and helpful, making this dog park a definite must-visit!
