Mobbly Bayou Dog Park

Situated in the Southeast corner of Oldsmar, the preserve was acquired a few years ago with grants from the Florida Communities Trust and the Florida Department of Community Affairs. The Mobbly Bayou Dog Park is fenced, and lets pooches enjoy running and rolling around on the grass with other dogs who are off their leashes. 

The Mobbly Bayou Dog Park has two different sections, one for small dogs and another for bigger dogs. Separating dogs by their sizes helps ensure that smaller dogs are not hurt or injured when playing with larger canines. The big dog area has some obstacle courses, as well as agility training pieces.

Both areas are useful for exercising and allowing dogs to use all their pent-up energy, so they do not end up tearing up your home. The area is a mixture of green and dirt regions and lots of shade too so hot afternoons are made more bearable. There is a water area at the front so pet parents can give their furbabies some fresh water whenever they are thirsty. 

The big dog area, however, gets flooded if it rains a lot so your dog can end up swimming, so you might want to avoid going there during rainy season. Some hoses that can be used to wash dogs, but most owners would not want a wet dog in their car so remember to bring a towel to wipe your dog dry.

Locals regularly frequent the park with pleasant dogs. Pooches always seem to get along with each other, and there are hardly any fights. Dog owners are responsible, they still pick up after their dogs and supervise them at all times. You can bring your children to the park too because there is a beautiful playground in the area. Well-maintained and clean, it is one of the best-kept secrets of Oldsmar and a favorite of residents.
