Parking can be found off the street that runs next to the dog park on a broken asphalt lot that winds into the north section of the park. This dog park is relatively new and was refurbished from an old abandoned lot into a wood-chipped, fenced off area perfect to let your pooch run around. There is only one area for dogs of all sizes, but plans for a small dog area is in the works. Not to mention next to the dog park is a fenced-in asphalt lot and although it's not meant for dogs, it can be used to separate pups that need it.
After entering the dog park, you'll see there is a single gate opening, so watch out for escapees trying to run free. Once inside, wood chips and dirt are the main terrain that make up the run, with plenty of exercise equipment like tires, pallets to climb up, and a small wooden bridge to run around and play on. There are clean-up bags that are replenished by volunteers, benches, and nighttime lights for when it gets too dark out. There is no water available, so you will need to bring your own water and bowl for your pup. A few trees line the park that allows shade along the edges, but it is mostly open to the sun.
This diamond in the rough park is a great experience for any pup looking to run around and play, as it provides a safe place with plenty of things to do and a place for you to relax and watch!
