Description

Moraine Hills State Park sits in the beautiful area of Illinois, providing visitors with historical charm and recreational fun. This ancient state park has seasonal habitation that has been around since 4,000 B.C. Native American tribes would pass through the area during this time.

If you come to this state park, you can explore the progression of history throughout this land. When you come and visit this state park, you will find many different types of amenities for your enjoyment. This park has many natural formations, a 48-acre lake, hiking trails, availability for hunting, hiking, boating, fishing, and picnicking.

You will also find a concession stand, picnic shelters, picnic tables, and ten day-use areas. Dogs can come with you to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. During your time in this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are implemented by the Moraine Hills State Park.

Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as they do not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here.

Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in Moraine Hills State Park. This park is only available for day-use, so you cannot camp at Moraine Hills State Park. If you wish to rent or purchase any items for your exciting adventures, you can head on over to the concession area.
