Mutts on Main Dog Park

The Mutts on Main Street Dog Park is a members-only dog park. This means there is a registration process and a requirement around vaccinations. This membership process is to ensure aggressive dogs are held accountable for their actions and all the dogs that visit this park are up to date on their vaccinations. Each canine requires a separate application. 

This is also a co-mingled dog park. There are no separate sections for small breeds, puppies, and toy dogs. Instead, canines of all sizes share the one large open fenced area. The Mutts on Main Street Dog Park is a wonderful city built and run dog park in Collinsville. It is aesthetically pleasing, marked by a beautiful bronze statue of a dog in the middle of the park. 

Adjacent to the statue is a fire hydrant dressed as a canine itself. This all lends itself to the appeal of the park but does not take away from its functionality. The grounds here are grass and have plenty of room for your canine to run. The Mutts on Main Street Dog Park has the neighborhood behind it, the local pet stores and park members come together to organize different events like pet costume contests and the like at this dog park. 

The grounds are well maintained by the city, and the patrons of the park take good care of it. The Mutts on Main Street Dog Park has ample seating in the form of benches inside the main entrance and along the fence line. Agility equipment can be found at this park, and large trees are placed around the park, granting a lot of shade on some of the hot days. 

There are walking paths throughout the Mutts on Main Street Dog Park so you can get some exercise in while your canine runs and plays.  These paths are paved or laden with gravel to keep the grass at the park in good condition. This park is open year round, and there is water available here. However, the water is turned off during the winter months to prevent freezing.
