Myriad Botanical Gardens Dog Park

The Myriad Botanical Gardens Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Oklahoma City. This dog park is on the grounds of the fifteen-acre Myriad Botanical Gardens which, as well as beautiful garden areas, incorporates a lake and jogging trails. There are also splash pools for youngsters, playgrounds, and a tropical conservatory. 

The botanical gardens are somewhere to enjoy a family day out where a dog can be included. Pups are allowed in many areas of the outdoor gardens, which are free of admission charges and more than welcome in the garden's off-leash dog park. This off-leash dog park in Oklahoma City might not be overly spacious though it is well kept. 

Considering its location, pet parents might be surprised it doesn't have a natural grass covering but is surfaced with astroturf and gravel. Still, in the general plan of things, that's one less job for the gardeners to do as they're kept fully occupied maintaining the botanical garden's grounds. Here they don't need to use lawn mowers, a quick hosing down and the task is done. 

The Myriad Botanical Gardens Dog Park is communal for all sizes, so pet parents with mini pooches need to be just that extra little bit vigilant of their pup. The off-leash area has several trees, plenty of bench seating and is fully fenced for security. It's an ideal place for giving pup some time off-leash after they've been trailing around the gardens with their pet family sniffing at the flower exhibitions. 

Good behavior is expected from all pups using the off-leash facility. Those fur babies who don't know or understand how to socialize in a dog park environment need to leave, so the park's status quo doesn't get upset. All poop produced, not only in the off-leash area but throughout the outdoor gardens, should also be removed. There are bags and trash receptacles provided for that purpose
