Newtown Dream Dog Park is an aptly-named off-leash dog park in the north Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek. This paradise for pups is a fenced one-acre space mostly covered with soft and sanitary artificial turf, with some paved areas.Â
Separate play areas for large and small dogs, each laden with features, means that any size pup has a space to play. Sprinklers, doggie pools, and a hydrant-shaped spray fountain help hot dogs cool off in warmer months. Doggie-level drinking fountains run year-round, and clean up bags are available on site. The large dog section includes a full agility course with running tunnels, hoops for pooches to jump through, log crawls, log steppers, and a doggone charming bone bridge that's perfect for photo-ops.Â
Beyond the fun zone, a walking path loops out into more natural spaces. The park is nestled in a bowl of trees and has benches and a sculpted metal seating pavilion where humans can sit in the shade. While there are no human bathrooms directly inside the dog park, there are some just steps away in Newtown Park. The larger park surrounds the dog park and offers other pawsome features, including a long walking trail where you can take your dog on a leashed walk through stands of mature trees and around a pond.
This bustling dog park is quite pupular and is often crowded. One of the few complaints visitors make is that there are sometimes too many two-legged kids running around with the dogs. Make sure your dog is ready to handle lots of social stimulation before bringing them to Newtown Dream Dog Park! As long as you don't mind a little good-spirited chaos, you and your pup are sure to have a good time.
Have you ever watched your dogs twitch their paws in their sleep and wondered what they were dreaming? If you've ever brought them to Newtown Dream Dog Park, chances are good that they dream of the good times they had there with you and their other furry friends.
