Description

The Northwest County Dog Park is a large grassy dog park located in Tampa. This dog park is fenced, and that fence also denotes two separate sections, one for large canines and another for small canines, puppies, and toy breeds. This helps keep them safe as they are not playing with canines many times their size.

This park has several amenities, above and beyond what you would typically find at a neighborhood dog park such as agility equipment throughout for canines that enjoy obstacles and the like. The Northwest County Dog Park has water access and large tubs for your canine to play and splash around.

Few trees can be found at this dog park, some around the fence line but just a few are inside the park. These trees produce very little shade, and you will find yourself at the mercy of the sun on a hot day. Tons of parking is available here at no cost. There is ample seating in the form of benches inside the entrance and place periodically along the fence line of the dog park.

Poop bags and garbage cans are available inside the entrance to both sides of the dog park. These waste stations are stocked regularly, and the garbage cans are emptied often. The Northwest County Dog Park is grass and dirt. The dirt covers the high trafficked areas of the park.

After a heavy rainfall, the dirt in these areas devolves into quite a quagmire of mud, and your canine will likely leave this park awfully dirty. If the forecast calls for rain, bring a towel. But overall, the Northwest County Dog Park is kept very clean and this dog park is quite large in comparison to its peers.

There is plenty of space at the Northwest County Dog Park to play some long-range games like fetch or frisbee. Even without interaction, the agility equipment here is likely to keep even the most energetic canine running and having fun. They will certainly leave this park worn out. The greater park here houses a playground, some walking trails, and some pavilions for picnics.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
