When you come and visit the Old Mill State Park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. There are picnic areas, picnic tables, a volleyball court, a horseshoe pit, a warming house, sliding hill, and a swimming beach. However, you must check the rules about where your pooch is allowed to join you.
You can also visit the historic sites, the visitor office, and open availability for firewood and groceries. Dogs can also come and visit this state park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. During your time at this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the Old Mill State Park.
Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as Old Mill State Park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here.
Pet parents should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the park's main website or in the park's main office. If you are in the Minnesota area, make sure and come on down to check out the Old Mill State Park.
