The beach is covered in sand and Fido can run along the shoreline. If either you or your pup goes swimming, the water is saltwater, which can leave a bit of residue. There is a hose to rinse off your pooch before he gets in the car, and there's a shower for you, too.Â
There are water fountains for your pup to get a clean drink of water and some shaded areas to cool off if the sun's rays get to be too hot. There are also picnic tables if you want to sit and eat lunch. The beach does not separate small or large dogs, so it's important to keep an eye on your pup for appropriate interactions. Also, if he goes to the bathroom, pick it up. You wouldn't want to be walking barefoot with sand between your toes and step in a pile of hot poop, so be a good visitor and clean up after your dog. The park provides bags if you forget yours.Â
This popular off-leash beach is not fenced in, so make sure your dog will respond to your call. Keep your dog up to date on his vaccinations and make sure he wears his collar with ID tag. Keep your dog on-leash until you arrive at the park. There is a gated entry to get to the beach and you can remove your dog's leash once inside. On the beach, there are no fences.
