Paw Park North (at 17th Street Park)

If Fido is looking for a fun place to play, the Paw Park North at 17th Street Park is the place to be. The park has a substantial obstacle course featuring equipment like ramps, tunnels, and jumping challenges, and there is even a poster with instructions for each piece of equipment. The ground is a combo of dirt and grass, and there are some trees for shade. 

Benches are all around the park for you to take a seat and watch Fido play with his new friends. There are also pavilions on cement to keep you out of the sun or other elements in the summer, and there are picnic tables under the pavilions for you to sit and talk to other dog lovers. The park has bag dispensers, garbage pails, and a water fountain for the pups. The water fountain is on cement, so the accumulation of mud is minimized. In the summer, you might even find a doggie pool to keep the pups cool. You might also notice a puddle or two if it rained, but you can hose down your dog if he gets muddy so it's not tracked into your car. 

The park is large, so be sure to watch him closely and if he poops, clean it up immediately. Make sure your dog is sociable, as aggressive behavior is not tolerated. Always keep your dog up to date on his vaccinations and make sure he is wearing his collar with ID tags. 

This park is a great option for a dog who loves to run around and jump on things or just meet other dogs. It's a busy park, with popular hours being around 5pm-7pm. If you are looking for a good crowd, go after work and have some fun with your pup. Throw the ball with your pup and make friends with other owners.
