Off street parking can be found once you enter the park from East Bay Street. After unloading your pals from the car and starting your adventure, you'll be welcome by many family friendly features, such as peaceful picnic areas, lighted outdoor basketball courts, a hockey rink, a playground, restrooms, and paved pathways that meander through wooded areas. But you can explore these later, as Fido will likely be itching for you to unhook his leash in the dog park.Â
The dog park features two separate fenced off sections, one for the larger breeds that are 25 pounds or more, and another for the little dudes. Both sections offer some solace from the sun by means of large shade trees. The ground surface is comprised of pea pebble gravel with the occasional covering of soft pine needles. There should be enough space for a good game of fetch and your pal to run full tilt through the trees. The large dog section also has some agility equipment, where the athletically inclined pooches can show off their skills. Waste bags, trash receptacles, and doggy drinking water are also provided.Â
Do your part in keeping this park safe and clean by following proper petiquette. This includes keeping your pal leashed while outside of the fenced area, picked up after, and respectful to all other creatures including humans, other canines, and wildlife.Â
An outing with their favorite human at Paw Place at Northeast Park will have your pupper leaping for joy!Â
