The Pinckneyville Dog Park is part of the Pinckneyville Park, which is in the town of Norcross, Georgia. It is situated to the rear of the park's softball center. Vehicle parking is available in a large lot close by. This dog park has been designated as an off-leash area just for exercising dogs. It is a spacious piece of parkland which is fully enclosed with waist-high chain link fencing. It is surfaced with natural grass, gravel, and bark chippings. It also incorporates a small hill for the dogs to enjoy. There are many mature trees around the dog park perimeter which offer good shade on sunny days.
A section of the dog park has been cordoned off for small breeds. The area for bigger dogs contains several pieces of agility equipment. Both sections of the dog park have water fountains and poop bag dispensers installed. It is recommended owners carry some extra poop bags on their person in case of stock depletion. Both areas have sheltered seating as well as more benches under the trees.
All dogs wishing to use the facility must be vaccinated, have their rabies shots up to date, and be wearing the appropriate tag on their collar. Owners should note their dogs must remain leashed until properly inside the compound. Owners are restricted to exercising no more than three dogs at any one time. All dogs must be under voice control. Any dog which displays signs of anti-social behavior should be put on a short leash immediately. Owners are fully responsible for filling any holes dug by their dog.
The Pinckneyville Dog Park is clean and well maintained. Pet owners are obliged to remove all waste produced by their dogs and deposit used poop bags in the containers provided. The Norcross local authorities request all owners comply with this rule and help keep the dog park in good condition for all users.
