The Poppleton Creek Dog Park is a fenced dog park in Stuart, Florida. This location is waterfront; however, there is no water access for the off-leash canines inside the fenced dog park. The ground here at the Poppleton Creek Dog Park is sand and grass, and the high amount of traffic this small park receives means that most of the area is worn down.
Even though most of this area is dirt and sand, there is a water hose located at the entrance to the Poppleton Creek Dog Park. That is not to say this park is poorly maintained, quite the contrary. This park stays pretty clean, poop bags are readily available, and the garbage cans on-site are regularly emptied.
There is even the maintenance teams phone number posted on a big sign at the entrance to the dog park. There are a few trees large enough to produce shade inside the fenced area of the park. The canopies of these trees do not provide full and total protection from the sun, and on hot days you might find yourself standing underneath the shade of these trees instead of sitting in the sun.
Some benches are placed at the base of these trees for your convenience. The lake is not a designated dog area, but your canine is allowed on-leash in the area. Allowing your canine to play in the lake is high risk as some freshwater alligators can occasionally be found in these waters at the Poppleton Creek Dog Park.
The Poppleton Creek Dog Park is closely located to the highway, so canine owners traveling with their dog along I-95 may find this park to be a perfect reprieve. There are no membership requirements, there are public restrooms nearby, and it provides a bit of space for you and your canine to stretch your legs with a great view of the lake.
