The Raleigh Linear Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in the Raleigh Linear Park of San Jose, California. The closest parking lot to the off-leash area is adjacent to the dog park entrance. This facility is free of charge to residents and visitors to the city. This dog park in San Jose is just a minor section of the main park, which has been reconditioned to make it suitable for exercising dogs off their leashes. 

It has been made secure with eight-foot-high metal railings. Owners should take care when entering and unleashing their dog as the dog park does not have a double-gated staging area. The dog park has only one section which is surfaced with astroturf and bordered with sand. There is an occasional tree or two around the perimeter fencing, but they don't create much shade. 

Pups using this off-leash dog park in San Jose need to be good at socializing with all size of dogs. There's no segregated area for toy breeds so if owners are overprotective and prefer their small dog not to play with the big ones; they either need to wait until the big dogs go home or go to another dog park. Amenities for owners are sparse too. 

There's just one picnic table and two benches. There is a water fountain of sorts, but it is known to malfunction frequently. It's recommended for owners to take water plus an individual bowl for their pet. Using a personal bowl helps prevent the spread of diseases between dogs. 

Owners also need to go to this dog park with a stock of poop bags in their pocket. There are a couple of dispensers there, but they often run out of bags. Picking poop up promptly helps keep the astroturf in good condition and the environment much healthier for pups to play in.
