Riverside Dog Park is an off-leash area for your dog to run, jump, play, and socialize with other dogs. The park is located behind the zoo and provides plenty of space for your dog to run in a safe environment. The ground is a combination of mulch, dirt, and gravel. This gives your dog the chance to experience a multitude of textures as he socializes and plays with other dogs.Â
This park has ample room to play fetch with your dog. However, if you need to rest, the park provides a variety of things that will keep your dog busy. It has a kiddie pool for your dog to splash around plus a tire obstacle course for your dog to navigate. It’s also great practice for owners to teach agility training.Â
Pet parents can relax at the picnic table located inside the dog park. There is drinking water for the dogs available at the park, but you should always carry fresh water and a portable bowl just in case. All dogs that visit the park need to have their vaccinations up to date to help prevent the spread of canine disease or illness. Any dogs recovering from illness need to be kept at home until fully recovered.Â
Dogs need to remain on a leash until they enter the park. Once the gate is closed and secure, you can remove the leash and allow your dog to run in the designated dog park area. You must attach the leash before leaving the park and opening the gate.Â
Always bring poop bags with you to clean up after your dog. The park needs to remain clean and sanitary. You can also bring along balls and toys for your dog to play and have fun with at the park. Overall, this park is large, fenced, welcoming and offers plenty of exercise for dogs.Â
