Robertson Park Meadow

The Robertson Park Meadow Dog Park lies within Robertson Park, a 110-acre leashed dog-friendly recreation area. The dog park is located on the north side and its 4 acres provide ample room for off-leash running, fetching, socializing and cavorting. It has been a work in progress since 2011, and every year new amenities are added to make doggos and their humans very happy. 

Surrounded by a 4-foot fence with double safety gates, the surface is grass with some bare spots. A dirt path inside the perimeter of the fence provides an opportunity for more disciplined walking, to cool down or practice commands. An enclosure for small dogs sits adjacent to the big dog section. A water fountain with buckets and bowls is provided in both sections, and restrooms for the humans' comfort are very close to the dog park but outside the fence. There is ample parking in a nearby lot. Dogs must be on leash from the car until they're inside the first double gate.

Two large shade trees provide a small area of cooler air in the corner of the park, and young trees have been planted in various locations. Because most of the dog park is exposed to the sun, be sure to keep your pooch hydrated. A small creek crosses a corner of the run, and is a great place for doggos to splash and get cool. 

The pups' hygiene needs are met by a waste bag station and receptacle, which makes it easy for the dog parents to pick up after their pets. Please keep an eye on your fur-baby so you'll notice if there's something you need to attend to, whether that be waste or a melee with another dog.

Robertson Park itself features many paved walking paths and expanses of lawn for leashed play, a picnic or a snooze under one of its many trees or one of the benches that dot the landscape. The dog park is pawrfect for a frolicking run in the sun, and fun for you, too!
