There are three entrances to the park, and the dog park can be accessed from the entrance on Old Peachtree Road. Here you will also find plenty of parking and restrooms. Pups of all sizes are welcome here, and there are two separate sections for large and small breeds so that every fur-buddy can play in safety. The section for large dogs in particular is massive, with tall secure fences. There is plenty of space for your pal run at full tilt. The surface is mostly grass and seldom muddy.
Some other amenities include benches, water fountains for people and pups, trash bags and trash receptacles. There are usually some tennis balls kicking around, but you may want to bring your pal's favorite ball or frisbee just in case! The dog park is lacking shade, so keep an eye on your pooch that they don't over heat.
If your dog is itching to see what's on the other side of the fences, they're welcome to explore the rest of Rock Springs Park with you on-leash, where you'll find tall shade trees and beautifully landscaped greenery. One of the best features of the park is the 2 miles of paved pathways, including an unpaved portion that winds through the woods. They are ideal pathways for your morning walk with Fido. Some other park amenities include playgrounds, pavilions, and a variety of athletic fields and courts.
Please be sure that your doggo always plays well with others, that you respect the leash rules, and that you pick up after your pal. Rock Springs Park Dog Park will make your dog leap for joy!
