Rover's Run Dog Park is a beautiful 3-acre area that allows dogs to run free. This park is accommodating to dogs and pet parents. It has benches located throughout the park for pet parents to relax while their dog runs around playing and making new friends. Owners can spend plenty of time at the park since it has a portable bathroom for your convenience.Â
Pet parents are encouraged to pick up their dog’s waste and dispose of it in the conveniently located trash bins throughout the park. The dog park is for dogs of all sizes and ages but smaller sized dogs can easily fit through the wooden fence and wiring. Therefore, if you have a small dog, bring along a leash to keep him close and prevent him from running away.Â
There are a few small trees located in the park but they barely provide any shade. Bring along water and a portable bowl for your dog to keep him hydrated. You can also bring along toys to play fetch. The wide open area is great for dogs that enjoy running around endlessly and have plenty of energy to burn off.Â
The trail that is located nearby leads to a lake area where dogs are welcome to swim and splash around in the water. This is an excellent adventure for dogs that love water. However, you need to keep your dog on a leash while walking on the paved trail leading to the lake. Once you get to the lake you can take him off his leash. The lake area isn’t fenced in so make sure your dog is well trained not to run away.Â
Always keep a close eye on your dog while at the park. If other dogs are playing aggressively, you should remove your dog immediately for safety reasons. Overall, this park is spacious, welcoming, plus it is fun for dogs and pet parents.Â
