Sam Dale Lake Conservation Area sits in the fabulous area of Illinois, providing local and out of state visitors with a park area to visit. Whether you want to camp, hike, bike, or even fish, this park will give you everything you could ever desire. This conservation area is covered in diverse terrain, and it has a lake that houses around 194 acres. 

Most families love to come to the Sam Dale Lake Conservation Area for the weekend because it fosters recreation fun for all ages. When you come and visit the Sam Dale Lake Conservation Area, you will find many different types of amenities that are available for your enjoyment. 

At the Sam Dale Lake Conservation Area will find a lake, small ponds, hiking, trails, biking trails, campgrounds, equestrian trails, lodging, and open availability for hiking, biking geocaching, metal detecting, camping, boating, and cross-country skiing. Dogs can even come to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. 

During your time in the Sam Dale Lake Conservation Area, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the state park authority. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. 

Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to the Sam Dale Lake Conservation Area as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. 

If you wish to camp in this conservation area, you must schedule a reservation.
