Sand Key Dog Park is located near the beach in Clearwater, Florida. Clearwater is a wonderful area in Florida with white sand beaches, plenty of tourism, and if you are lucky you will see a couple dolphins jump out in the distance. Clearwater is an amazing place to visit if you have never been here. It’s even more amazing if you live in the area.
This is a well-kept dog park that is ideal to take your pooch to. It typically is not very crowded and your dog will have plenty of space to run and play. Sand Key Dog Park has fenced in areas for large and small dogs. There is also a watering station so you can fill your dog's water bowl. The park also has tennis balls for your dog to play with, which is a nice feature. Although this dog park is near the beach, dogs are not allowed on the beach. This is mainly due to sea turtle eggs that are protected on the beach.
Sand Key Dog Park has several rules, including that dogs must be leashed as they enter and leave the park. No dogs under four months old are allowed at the park. Your dog should be licensed and vaccinated with a tag on their collar at all times when visiting any Florida dog park. Please always clean up after you and your pet and throw away waste in designated receptacles. Also, owners should be 16 years of age or older and limited to three dogs per handler.
This park is a quaint community dog park with friendly people and dogs who frequent it. If you are on a vacation with your dog, this is a great spot to get him or her out and exercising. If you live in the area, you should definitely add this to your list of favorite parks to bring your dog to.
